About us
Today, there is a significant population of unemployed youth who struggle to secure employment due to their inadequate skills. At the same time, skilled individuals may face eligibility issues because they did not receive sufficient training to develop their skills.
To improve students’ chances of securing better employment and achieving a successful career, the T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Institute has been established on the MGM College campus. The institute provides skill-based learning opportunities to students in addition to their academic pursuits.

Aims & Objectives
T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Institute (TMPSDI) aims to offer demand-driven and market-relevant courses to address skill development and training needs of young individuals, particularly in coastal Karnataka. As a not-for-profit philanthropic initiative of the MGM College Trust, the institute is committed to developing job skills, employability, and entrepreneurship among the youth with the following objectives:
• TMPSDI aims to bridge the gap between talented youth and enterprises by creating a platform for promoting the talents of youths.
• The institute strives to enable students to tap into their capabilities, develop practical skills, and prepare themselves to succeed in their chosen careers.
• TMPSDI seeks to provide vocational training to young people and create job opportunities for them.
• The institute aims to enhance the career prospects of young individuals and expand their career opportunities.
• TMPSDI provides market-relevant skills training to young people, in addition to their regular degree courses.
We are all proud of our – Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College. Our college makes one of the recognizable landmarks, located near the Lord Krishna temple of Udupi.
