Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) College, Udupi is a premier institution in Coastal Karnataka founded by Dr. TMA Pai in 1949. It is the first college started by the Academy of General Education, Manipal in Coastal Karnataka. The campus is spread over 50 acres of lush green land with Administrative Block, Humanities & Commerce Block, Science Block, Computer Block, PU Block, Library Block and Hostel Block. The Platinum Jubilee Block is under construction where Evening College and T. Mohandas Pai Skill Development Institute will be housed in. It has all the avenues for the academic growth and personality development of the students. Right now three colleges – MGM Degree College, MGM PU College, and MGM Evening College, are functioning on the same campus. Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Evening College (MGMEC) is a new venture of MGM College Trust started in the academic year 2022-2023. In fact, it is the brainchild of Sri T. Sathish U. Pai, the present President of MGM College Trust. This college is established mainly to cater to the needs of working professionals, and students who aim to use their morning time by enhancing their skills or working part-time.Apart from the academic curriculum, the students of MGM Evening College are given the following training on Digital Skills by Manipal Technologies Limited such as, Image editing, e-Commerce Solutions, Digital Retail Experiences, Packing Design, 3D & CGI Renderings, Branding Solutions, Digital Training, Custom Digital Platforms, Video Production, AR/VR Solutions, Web Development, Interactive Content, Social Media Content, Creative Designs, App Development, and Custom Technology Solutions.
